Agile Open Space 2019

As I wrote in my previous post, we are big fans of Agile who like to share ideas and experiences and learn new things. And the best place to do all of it is an Agile conference. One such Agile fan-friendly conference took place in June and we were there.

Agile Open Space is a unconference where you can meet people from various industries such as finance, IT and HR who are interested in Agile.

The conference has an open format, and nobody knows exactly what will happen in the end. Why? Because it is up to you. People are given the time and space to raise their questions, form groups around topics and discuss them. There are many groups running in parallel, so you can come and go to those that are appropriate for you and maximize what you get out of the conference.

Imagine that you are struggling with an issue running Agile or Scrum in your team and you are brave enough to discuss it with others. You may find out that you’re not the only one with that problem—many people are in the same situation as you. And from time to time, you can even find someone who already went through it and collected valuable ideas on how to deal with the issue faster and easier. Or not. That is totally up to you. I was brave enough to ask one of my troubling questions publicly and you will be able read all about it in a future post.

There was even time for a few people to present their Agile stories to the whole audience. One of the presenters was the father of AMI, Robert Šilar.

From my subjective point of view, it was a great conference. I like that format so much that I would like to try it within our company as well. So, when you see the picture below, pay attention.
